Little Acorns is a Preschool on the North San Juan Ridge located at the beautiful Oak Tree campus.  We are committed to providing quality education for children ages 2 1/2 to 5. As part of the Twin Ridges Elementary School District, we work closely with the TK and kindergarten teachers to ensure that your child has an easy transition to kindergarten. Our goal is to provide preschoolers with a positive, exciting learning experience as they begin their educational journey.

 

Outside learning environments will include all areas of the Oak Tree campus. Preschoolers will explore the beautiful gardens and large grassy fields. We will play on a great natural scape playground and utilize many large rock formations to explore hands-on science.

  

We believe that children learn through play. All children are natural learners provided they are in a safe environment and are guided by caring, nurturing adults. Our mission is to provide a place where families and children feel comfortable, safe, and nurtured. 

 

At Little Acorns children will have the opportunity to make choices and let their curiosity direct their learning in a safe environment. The teacher’s role is to act as a guide by offering enriching hands- on activities with age-appropriate supplies. 

 

Teachers will provide children with many opportunities to learn about emotions by observing, identifying, and discussing them. Our goal is for preschoolers to see that everyone has positive qualities and for them to learn to work together and support each other.  The teacher’s role is to guide preschoolers by modeling positive interactions.

 

Little Acorns follows the California Preschool Learning Foundation and Curriculum Framework. We will celebrate each child’s academic, social, emotional, physical, and cultural development.
